Visiting the city's many museums and theaters is highly recommended for culture fans. Aarhus has several attractions that are renowned around the world, including ARoS, The Old Town and the Moesgaard Museum.

If you are interested in architecture, the Aarhus City Hall and Musikhuset (Concert Hall), located right next to each other, won’t fail to impress. At the harbour you can find countless examples of contemporary examples. Dokk1 is the new Library and Citizens’ centre at the Port of Aarhus andthe key building in the Urban Media Space project , which converts Aarhus inner harbour from an industrial area to more urban spaces.

During late August and early September one of Northern Europe's largest cultural festivals place takes place in Aarhus. The Aarhus Festuge encompasses various art forms of dance, theatre, exhibitions, classical and popular music, opera, children's culture, sports and entertainment, with a different theme each year.
